# Read a payment

> **Scope:** `payouts:read`

`{id}` is the payment's `po_` id, from the create response, the list or a `payout.*` webhook; find one by your `transaction_id` with `GET /payouts?transaction_id=…`. Poll this every few seconds while a payment is `processing` if you are not using webhooks.
